Most new Ontario companies don't fail because of a bad logo. They stall because the pieces were done out of order: a name registered before anyone checked the domain, a website built before the founder could say in one sentence who it was for, and an ad budget spent before there was anywhere sensible to send the clicks. Ontario.Company exists to put those pieces in a sensible order and help you finish each one properly.

We're a business and marketing consulting service, part of the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group of companies. The group is Canadian, headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia, and led by Ali Sedighi, MBA, who has been building and marketing businesses since 2007. We work with founders across Ontario in person, by video call, and by phone, text, email and shared documents.

What we help with, in the order it usually happens

The short answer: name first, brand second, website third, launch marketing fourth. Each step makes the next one cheaper.

  1. Company naming. We help you build a shortlist and screen it before you spend money on registration, a domain or a designer. A name that sounds clever but gets misspelled on the phone costs you enquiries for years.
  2. Brand identity and positioning. One sentence that says who you serve and why they should pick you, plus a logo brief, a colour set and a voice you can keep using without a designer on call.
  3. A launch website and Google presence. A small site that loads quickly on a phone, explains the offer and makes it obvious how to get in touch, together with a verified Google Business Profile if you serve local customers.
  4. First-90-days launch marketing. A written plan for your first three months: which channels, what each costs, what counts as a good week, and when to stop something that isn't working.

You can use us for one step or all four. Plenty of founders handle the website themselves and only want a second opinion on the name and the plan.

Where government paperwork ends and our work begins

Registering a name or incorporating happens through the Ontario Business Registry, and anyone can search it free to see whether a name is already in use. As of October 2026, Ontario's registration page lists a $60 fee to register a sole proprietorship and $300 to incorporate a business corporation, and it says a named Ontario corporation needs an Ontario-biased NUANS name search report. Confirm current fees and rules on the official page before you file.

We don't file anything for you and we don't tell you which legal structure to choose. That decision depends on liability, tax and ownership questions that belong with a lawyer and an accountant. Trademarks are federal and run through the Canadian Intellectual Property Office; if your name matters enough to protect, talk to a lawyer or registered trademark agent. Our part is everything the customer sees: what the company is called, how it looks and sounds, and how the first buyers find it.

A worked example of launch arithmetic

Numbers make launch decisions calmer, so here is the kind of sum we put in front of every founder. Suppose you're starting a home-organising business in Burlington and an average first job is worth $600.

  • If roughly 1 in 4 people who enquire end up booking, you need 4 enquiries for each job.
  • If your break-even is about $150 of marketing per job, you can afford to pay around $37 per enquiry and still not lose money on the first booking.
  • If a search ad sends visitors to your site and 1 in 12 of them gets in touch, each enquiry needs about 12 clicks, so a click is only worth about $3 to you.

Those three lines tell you whether paid search is even sensible on day one, or whether a Google Business Profile and a referral push should come first. Our launch guides walk through the same arithmetic in more depth.

Proof from our HVAC work

Our published case studies are results from our HVAC work, because that is where the group's portfolio of more than 150 live websites was built. One of them is directly about launching a new brand: GasBoilers.ca was created as a gas-boiler division for CANRO Heat and now serves 26+ BC communities, with 5.0★ from 76+ Google reviews. Another, BCWide.ca, reached 3× leads in 90 days. Those numbers come from a different industry and province, so read them as evidence that the method works, not as a forecast for your business. The results page explains what transfers to an Ontario launch and what doesn't.

Who this is a good fit for

We're a good fit if you're about to start, or have just started, a company that sells to customers in Ontario and you want an experienced person to check your thinking before you spend. That includes trades and home services, professional practices, retail and food concepts, and owners adding a second brand to an existing business.

We're not the right call if you need a lawyer, an accountant, a lender or someone to register the company for you. In those cases we'll point you to the right kind of help rather than pretend. When you're ready to talk, see how to reach us or look at what each stage costs.

Launch services for a new Ontario company

How it works

  1. Tell us what you're starting

What you sell, who buys it, where in Ontario you'll work and roughly what you can spend in the first year. A one-paragraph note is enough to begin.

  2. Get a launch sequence on one page

We write down the order of work (name, brand, website, first marketing) with a cost range for each stage, so you can decide what to do yourself and what to hand over.

  3. Ask questions before you commit

The first half-hour is free and there's no lock-in afterwards. Call, text or email; you'll talk to a senior strategist.

Frequently asked questions

What is Ontario.Company?

It's a Canadian business consulting service for people starting and branding a company in Ontario. Ali Sedighi, MBA, runs it as one of the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group's brands, with the group's head office in Vancouver, BC.

Can you register or incorporate my company for me?

No. Registration and incorporation happen through the Ontario Business Registry, and the choice between a sole proprietorship, partnership or corporation is one for you, your lawyer and your accountant. We work on the name, the brand and the launch marketing around that decision.

Do you give legal or tax advice?

No. We don't advise on legal structure, trademarks or tax. When a question crosses into those areas we say so and suggest the right professional, such as a lawyer, a registered trademark agent or an accountant.

How much does it cost to get help with a launch?

Hourly sessions run $175 to $350, a defined launch project runs $3,500 to $25,000 depending on scope, and ongoing monthly support runs $2,500 to $12,000. Prices are in Canadian dollars before tax, and the first 30-minute consultation is free.

I already have a name. Is it too late to get help?

Not at all. Many founders come to us after registering a name, and the work then starts with a quick check of how well that name will hold up online and in conversation. If it's workable, we build the brand and launch around it.

How is this different from Ontario.Business?

Ontario.Company is about the starting line: naming, first brand, first website and first customers. Our sister site Ontario.Business covers growing an established Ontario company.
